2 Races 2 Feature wins.

Borger's Speedway - The Slingshots took to the track for their feature with Warren, New Jersey’s Matt Dealaman leading the pack to the green. Second starting Matt “the Flemington flyer” Carman wasting no time in getting out front. After a lap three restart, the field ran twenty seven straight green flag laps, during these laps Carman stretched his lead out to almost a three second advantage. At lap twenty eight, Carman had lapped up to the eighth position and cruised to his second main event win of the 2007 season.  With the win Matt Carman has taken over the season point championship lead. Carman was followed by Matt Dealaman, and the always quick Tyler Potts came home in third.

Bridgeport Speedway - With the special Fathers Day Micro Nationals the Bridgeport Speedway were sceduled to race. The night started off well for Matt pulling the lowest pill putting him on the pole for the heat race. Matt took the heat win by a few car legnths. With only 4 cars on hand the feature was started the way the heat was finished putting Matt on the pole. Matt never looked back and took the feature win for the second night in a row.

Matt gets a ride for the Twin 15's at the Kutztown Fairgrounds.

Without a engine for his own car Matt showed up at the Kutztown fairgrounds without a car. Earlier in the week Ryan Smith asked Matt if he would like to run his car the S&S Speedways #551. Matt said he would so when they got to the track Matt was fitted for the car and got suited up. The car seemed to work well in warm ups but it was hard to tell due to the wet track conditions. The heat starting line up put Matt in the 6th position, the car was a little lose and Matt just settled in for a 6th place finish. The first of two 15 lap features put Matt in the 12th starting spot. On the start Matt made some bold moves on the outside to move into the 6th position. As the race went on Matt was able to grab 5th position where he would finish. For the second 15 lap feature the top 10 were inverted putting Matt in the sixth place. On the start Matt moved into 5th but the car was too lose in a really tight off making it very hard to make a pass or hold his line. He was passed by three cars putting him in the 8th position where he would finish.

Matt would like to thank S&S Speedways for letting him race the #551.

Matt Carman leads 27 of 30 laps.

The word of the night in the Slingshot main was “Girl Power”. Perkasie, PA’s Lindsey Rutherford showed the boys that the girls can get it done too. Pole sitter “JD” John Drake held of second starting Ethan Rutherford for the lead on lap one, Drake held a steady pace over the field while fifth starting Matt Carman moved into second and tracked down Drake. On lap eight Carman drove to the inside of Drake exiting turn four. Drake turned down on Carman, the two made contact. Drake’s mount spun and he rejoined the field in the rear. Carman now set the pace with strong running Lindsey Rutherford now in second. On lap twenty-seven Carman’s car experienced engine failure and he was now sidelined for the evening. This gave the lead to Rutherford who was now pursed by ninth starting Joel “the Palmerton Pirate” Smith.  Rutherford lead Smith to the checkers followed by Mike Glass.

Borger's Speedway
May 18, 2007

The team decided to run on Friday the 18th knowing that it was going to rain on the 19th at Borger's Speedway. The night started off well will Matt coming from 9th(last) to finish 5th in the heat race. In the feature he started 6th and quickly made his way to the front, Matt took over the second place position and set his sights on the leader. The caution came out and on the restart the car was strong, going into turn one took a look under the leader to have the car stall, while Matt was trying to get it started he was passed by 1 car putting him back to 3rd where he would finish.

May 19th has been cancelled due to rain.

Matt Carman pull's off second career win!!

The night didn't start off well with the car not working at all in the warm-ups. The team made a few changes to the car for the heat race where Matt started on the pole. The car was a little better but needed more adjusting, Matt kept the car as low as he could get it picking up the heat win. Winning the 1st heat race put Matt on the pole for the feature. With the race barely getting started (due to cautions) Matt took the early lead but was challenged by Cody Coons the whole race, Matt lost the lead at one point in the race but regained it the next corner. The win wasn't given too him as the car had a really bad push leaving the bottom lane open. Matt led all but 1 out of the 30 laps to win his second career feature win. Matt would like to thank his sponsors for all there support and a very special thanks to Dad, Mom, Kim, Mike, Mary, Kelly, and Daniel without them I wouldn't be able to do it.

Heat win, Dash win, Feature DNF

The night started off well with Matt starting 3rd in the 1st heat race, Matt quickly took the lead in turn 1 and never looked back, winning his first heat race of 2007. With the top 2 qualifiers going to the Dash for a Pass Matt started on the pole and once again never looking back. For the feature Matt started on the pole. He got off to a good start taking the lead and leading a few laps, the car started to get lose on Matt so he dropped back to 2nd. When the caution flag flew on lap 10 Matt's left rear tire looked a little low on air. On the restart the tire blew off the bead sending Matt pit side for a disappointing 17th place finish.

Bridgeport Speedway
With 24 cars entered for the 1st tour race of the 2007 season Matt wanted to try his luck at the fast 1.4 mile. Matt started in 7th postion in his heat race and made a hard charge to the front to finish 2nd. The teams made a few changes to the car to hopefully make it better for the next heat race. But the changes didn't help, they made the car have a push. Matt started in the 4th spot and dropped back to the 6th position. The yellow flag fell with only a few laps to go bunching up the field. On the restart Matt dove to the bottom of the 5th place car to finish 5th. After the invert Matt was to start in the 7th position. The car was working well and he started passing cars. He was catching the 4th place car with 5 laps to go when the caution flag was thrown. The car didn's restart like Matt would've liked it and the leaders pull away a little bit. Matt caught and passed the 4th place car on the last lap to finish 4th.

"The action was fast and furious as Housworth,Ryan Smith,Michael Glass,Intravaia and Joel Smith were being challenged by Matt Carman and Kevin Albert."

.Atlantic City's"Battle on the Boardwalk" winner Ryan Smith settled for 2nd with Michael Glass keeping the open-roofed # 46 in third as Matt Carman used a bold turn 3 move to get by Intravaia for a blanket finish 4th.

Borger's Speedway
Matt Carman started the feature in 7th place the car worked well and Matt made his way to the 5th position he stayed in 5th for most of the race, but with only a few laps to go Matt started to catch 4th. The race came down the the last lap as Matt got under and drag raced to the line to pull off another 4th place finish.

Matt Carman makes hard charge to the front
to have muffler fall off with less then 10 laps to go.
4-7-07

Matt started 6th out of 8 cars in the heat race, the car had a very bad push and Matt dropped back to last where he finished. The team made drastic changes for the feature where they started in the 17th position. On the start Matt made up a few positions when about 5 laps in there was a red flag due to a flip. After the field restarted Matt headed to the front, by lap 20 of 40 laps Matt was up to third. While challenging for 2nd Matt's muffler came lose and he was forced to pull off the track.
